SBL Building Services corrected previous work on our gable end, done by another company, which had broken planning regulations for our grade 2 listed Georgian house. SBL proved to be expert, extremely pleasant and efficient and did a superb job, the results of which were immediately approved by the local Council. We would strongly recommend SBL's services to anyone needing expert roofing work done on a property, whether listed or not.

I had a messy and difficult job to convert 2 loft spaces. We are very pleased with the work. It has transformed the loft into a great storage space with easy access and good lighting. The job was completed to a good standard, to the agreed price and to timescale. Steve had a great set of workers who were very conscientious and minimised disruption. Steve Stokes has recently carried out a complicated project for me, restoring a Regency period balcony. Steve is a good communicator, positive in all circumstances, and chooses his assistants  with care, ensuring that they have a good rapport with those for whom they are working. He also sees to it that everything is left neat and tidy at the end of a project. I would highly recommend his services. He is knowledgeable and competent and has high standards. He is also good at dealing with challenges and problem solving. He is genuinely and sensitively interested in period buildings as well as other work. It has been a pleasure to have him working on my house.

Steve and the lads recently finished a kitchen conversion in our 200 yr old house in Leamington. The work was carried out in a professional manner but also with humour and lots of tea !! I would recommend Steve and his team.

What was meant to be a fairly straightforward remodel including knocking through a wall, installing a steel beam and putting up a new wall to create a new kitchen/diner space, things got a bit more complicated... Despite this and a number of other challenges along the way Steve and his team carried on until the job was finished.
